In 2000, Luciana Matalon founded the “Luciana Matalon Foundation” in Milan, envisioned as an international crossroads for contemporary art. Among the monumental works she created later are The Sun Town (Netanya, Israel, 2007) and Città Sole (Rozzano, 2013), symbolic structures where light and wind interact with bronze, creating pieces that evolve with the changing seasons. Central to her artistic language was the relentless pursuit of a cosmic and spiritual truth, symbolized by elements such as the staircase, the tree, and the clock—emblems of elevation and awareness.
Luciana Matalon passed away in 2015, leaving behind a profound and complex artistic legacy. Today, her Foundation continues to promote her works and nurture new talents, as she intended.
