Contemporary Art Christmas Auction

The Luciana Matalon Foundation is delighted to invite you to a unique event: a Christmas auction celebrating contemporary art and the artistic vision of its founder. The event will take place in the enchanting setting of the exhibition space at Foro Buonaparte 67 and will be conducted by Professor Paolo Cacciato, who will auction over 60 lots of works created by internationally renowned artists.

An exclusive selection from the Foundation’s prestigious private collection will be featured, alongside creations by Luciana Matalon herself. This event is a tribute to her cultural legacy and the Foundation’s enduring commitment to promoting the universal language of contemporary art. Among the masterpieces on sale is a rare 1970s tapestry by Yvette Cauquil-Prince, created in collaboration with Max Ernst, blending weaving and surrealism.

A journey through Luciana Matalon’s career
On the occasion of the auction, the Foundation will also present a renewed display of its permanent collection, showcasing some of Luciana Matalon’s most significant works. Paintings, sculptures, and unique jewelry narrate over fifty years of her career, revealing the rich symbolism and distinctive style of the artist.
